Dr. Madalynn McDermitt

Veterinarian

Hi! I’m Dr. Madalynn McDermitt, a proud native of Meriwether County. I graduated from Pike County High School and earned my undergraduate degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Armstrong Atlantic University in Savannah, Georgia. I went on to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian at the University of Georgia, where I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May 2019.

After graduation, I worked at Family Pet Care in LaGrange, GA, gaining valuable experience alongside a close friend and colleague. I eventually felt called to return home and open a small animal veterinary clinic to serve the community that shaped me.

Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, hunting, traveling with my husband, spending time with family, and am now excited to be embracing life as a new mother. I’m incredibly grateful for the trust and support of our clients and look forward to caring for your fur babies for many years to come. 😊

Landy Bishop (2021)

Practice Manager

Hi I'm Landy,

I began my career in the veterinary field in 1988 after graduating high school in Vero Beach, Florida. I’ve been in Georgia since 2013, where I call home, and caring for animals has been my passion for decades.

I was part of the original opening of Woodbury Animal Clinic in July 2021 and currently serve as the Office Manager, overseeing daily operations to ensure our patients and clients receive the best possible care. My professional interests include patient care, supporting quality of life, and educating pet owners so they feel confident about their pets’ health.

I’m married and we share our life with two fur-babies, Yote and Gypzy. Outside of work, I enjoy hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, and traveling to Florida to spend time with our grandbabies.

I love building relationships with both pets and their families and am honored to be part of your pet’s care team.

Maddie

Madison Jones (2022)

Vet Tech Assistant

Hi, I'm Madison,

I joined the Woodbury Animal Clinic family in November of 2022. Since then, I've had the opportunity to grow within the clinic, transitioning from kennel technician to receptionist, and now veterinary technician assistant.

I have two fur babies, Miller and Mo, who keep life fun and full. When I'm not at the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, my pups, or being outdoors hunting.

I love being able to help educate clients on vaccines, heartworm prevention, and flea and tick prevention, as well as supporting families through some of the hardest moments-helping them make compassionate decisions when their pets are suffering.

Paco

Paco (2021)

Mascot

Hi, I’m Paco! I’m an older rescue who was saved off the streets by Dr. Madalynn in 2021. These days, I’m living the good life with my family. I love licking fish my parents catch, tracking deer like a pro, and—most importantly—eating cheese. I may be a little older, but I’m wise, curious, and full of love. I’m very excited for the new baby coming on board as my future fishing partner and can’t wait to be a big brother! šŸ’›

Gypzy (2024)

Master Instigator

Hi, I’m Gypsy! You’ll usually see me up front in my custom bed when you visit Woodbury Animal Clinic. I am almost 2 years old now. My birthday is 2/14/2023 since no one knows my real birthday! I came to my forever home after being dumped off at the mailbox and started out feral at just 9 weeks old, but I’ve come a long way!

I love coming to work with my momma every day. I might show my teeth, and I may or may not nibble, so consider yourself warned. My favorite thing to do is aggravate everything, but I’m very loving too! 🐾

Mo

Mo (2025)

Noise Maker

Meet MoMo! 🐾

MoMo’s journey began in early 2025 when he was sadly dropped in a PetSmart parking lot—but that twist of fate led him straight to his mom atĀ Woodbury Animal Clinic. Now he has a loving home, a built-in best friend and brother namedĀ Miller, and gets to spend every day at work with his mommy.

Along the way, MoMo also made some new friends at the clinic—Paco and Gyp. Paco mostly tolerates him, while Gyp definitely annoys him… but they both love MoMo, and he loves them right back!

You’ll probably hear MoMo before you see him—he’s our enthusiastic greeter! He may be a loud barker at first, but it’s just because he’s excited (and maybe a little nervous) to meet you. 🐾
